The Assembly of basic geometric shapes and the use of wood with metal, give this family of luminaires a near air and at the same time a strong personality. All movements of the screen, with full rotation, are resolved through joints and arms, and its technical precision does not require springs or counterweights seen to keep the chosen position.
The English word Scantling refers to the dimensions of a piece of wood, and drift of a unit of measurement used in the past. Evidence of its constructive play attempts to this lamp some archetypal, almost graphic image.
