In 1981 Foscarini Spa established in the island of Murano (Venice). In 1983 first collection of lamps designed by Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato. 1985-first collection in collaboration with external designers: the wall by Adam Tihany and José Mancini wassily. 1988 Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato become owners and managers of the company.
1990 Rodolfo Dordoni design lumiere, first important success for Foscarini. 1992 ORBITAL, the debut of Ferruccio Laviani lamp, is the first industrial glass Foscarini lamp. 1993-la Habana, designed by Joseph Forakis, is the first lamp by Foscarini made of a material that is not glass, namely, polyethylene. 1994 Foscarini moves from the island of Murano to Marcon, on the Venetian mainland. 1996. the company is one of the first in the industry to receive certification from the quality system UNI EN ISO 9001. 2000. The MITE and TITE, are put in place lamps jointly established with Marc Sadler. The same year, Foscarini launches its first corporate communication project. 2001 Foscarini and Marc Sadler, thanks to the mite and TITE, lamps, are awarded the Compasso D'Oro for "Technological innovation in bold". 2002 magazine Lux, Foscarini's first publishing experience, begins. 2003. the new facility Foscarini inaugurated in Marcon (Venice).
2005 CABOCHE, designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto, opens a successful season for Foscarini, with models such as TWIGGY Marc Sadler - 2006, GREGG L + R Palomba 2007 Marc Sadler TRESS - 2008, LE SOLEIL Vicente Garcia Jimenez - 2009. These products can really express their innovative content and culture of design, due also to the accumulated experience of the company in all fields: from technology, communication, logistics. 2008 Foscarini becomes the official sponsor of the biennial exhibition of Venice. 2009 Foscarini Diesel and sign a license agreement, as part of the furniture "Home Collection" and the life project. 2010Foscarini presents a new publishing venture, halfway between a book and a magazine, called "inventory - all is a project". 2011. on the occasion of Euroluce, Foscarini introduces 15 new models that are added to the collection, as well as 4 new bulbs Diesel in a multimedia stand designed by Ferruccio Laviani. With the collaboration of the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, the first cover of inventory gives rise to the "Di vessel in Fiore" exhibition. 2012 in Milan Design Week installation Foscarini Inspire illustrates - through the language of films--the inspiration and charm behind some of the best selling products in the collection. Along with, and inventory Poldi Pezzoli Museum is presenting the exhibition "Fare Lume". 2013 thirty years after the first collection of Foscarini lamps opens two new offices in cities that symbolize contemporary design: Milan and New York.
